A marriage between Darcy and me

My father received a letter from Collins stating that a marriage between Darcy and I was imminent. My father embarrassed me with his opinions of the matter. Darcy later visited. Everyone went for a walk. Darcy and I stayed behind began to talk. I thanked him for saving Lydia and my family's name. He mention that his feelings for me were the same as when he first proposed and that if I told him to stop, this would be the last I  would ever hear of them. I then told him that my feelings had changed and I would gladly marry him.

Lady Catherine Visits

Lady Catherine visited me today. She informed of a rumor she heard that Darcy was planning on marrying Elizabeth, and that such a rumor was ridiculous given my social position and how apparently Darcy loves Miss De Bourgh. While she was explaining the impossibilities of this rumor, I hid my excitement of the prospect of Darcy still wanting to marry me. I told her that Darcy and I were not currently engaged, but I would not refuse his proposal. This enraged her. I did not tell anyone what happened between the two of us.

Soon I will have 2 married sisters!

Bingley came for a visit, he arrived so early that none of us were ready for company. My mother was finally able to get Jane and Bingley alone together, but he didn't propose. Mother was none to pleased. The next day, he visited again and went hunting with my father. When Jane and him were alone again, he told her his plan to ask her father for permission to marry her. My father said yes. Jane later confided in me that she was the happiest creature in the world!

Bingley and Jane?

Darcy and Bingley came for dinner. Bingley sat next to Jane, and seemingly only paid attention to her. I wish that Darcy would have sat near me at the repast;however, he sat at the farthest seat from me. I have come to terms with the fact that Darcy having been refused by me once, will not ask me again to marry him.

Bingley and Darcy Visit

According to Mrs. Gardiner, it was Darcy who found and paid off Wickham. She seemed to be hinting to Darcy doing this out of love for me. I'm unsure as what I should be feeling. My father refused to meet Bingley after he returned, however after a few days Bingley along with Darcy visited Longbourn. My mother was exceedingly courteous to Bingley and rude to Darcy. I was so embarrassed.

Lydia Visit's Longbourn

I realized that my feelings regarding Darcy have completely reversed. If he were to propose to me again, I would say yes. However, because of Lydia's selfish and embarrassing actions, I am extremely doubtful of a of marriage between us. Apparently Wickham accepted a job up north and Lydia will be joining him. She visited us before she left, it was an awkward visit that seemed to last forever. She seemed completely oblivious to the fact she caused so much grief.

Paying for the marriage

Today, we received a letter from Mr.Gardiner  expaining that Wickham will marry Lydia for an income. My father willingly obliged since that will save our family face. My parents are assuming that Mr. Gardiner paid Wickham a large amount of money, my excentric mother guesses it must be at least ten thousand pounds. My father is going to have to pay him back. However, my mother is throughly pleased to have a married daughter.
